A.03 — The world

The most realistic 1:300 Minecraft Earth map to date

This isn't a normal Minecraft world squeezed into the shape of the Earth. Every mountain, forest, river and coastline is where it really is, and it looks the way it does in real life.

🏔️

Real terrain & oceans

Built from real elevation and seafloor data. Everest stands at Y 305 and ocean trenches drop below Y -50. Every mountain range, valley and continental shelf is exactly where it really is.

🌳

Species-accurate forests

More than 440 tree species, placed across all 847 of Earth's ecoregions. Cherry blossoms and cedars in Japan, giant sequoias and redwoods in California, saguaros in Arizona, the Amazon rainforest, baobabs on the African savanna, olive groves around the Mediterranean, and nothing where it doesn't belong.

🌦️

Real biomes

Every region uses its true climate zone, with its own grass, foliage, water and sky colours. The environment mirrors real life.

🪨

Real rock & soil

The ground follows real-world geology and soil maps: white limestone cliffs, black volcanic basalt, red tropical earth.

🌊

Real lakes, rivers & coastlines

Flat lakes at their true levels, rivers that flow downhill, and sandy beaches and rocky sea cliffs where they really are.

1 block = 300 metres. The world is 133,632 blocks from east to west, so finding your home country is part of the adventure. Towns can build ports for long trips, and fast rail lines make great national projects.
